Display External Images are not adhering to settings (original: Images displaying error in emails.)

Note: when Display External Images are set to false and the user clicks Trust Sender, they don’t always get properly marked as trusted senders.

When clicked on show images or trust sender in “Images are hidden by default for security reasons”, the images get displayed for temporary but when closed that mail and if opened it once again, then it gets to default and it again says the same.
This happens even if Display External Images is switched on in settings.
